What Are PFLAG Meetings All About?
PFLAG is a support and information group for those of us learning to deal with the reality of homosexuality and how to provide loving support for our children, friends, and each other. We welcome, as well, our gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered children, family, and friends at meetings. Gentle discussion takes place in an atmosphere of absolute confidentiality and trust. We generally divide up into small general discussion groups, each with a facilitator. Also, people have the option of joining a Parents-only group.
In a safe, confidential, and supportive atmosphere we have the opportunity to share our questions and concerns, as well as our successes and joys. We typically also have a short program, usually with a speaker, each meeting.
